We saw a clear need: mountain lovers — hikers, skiers, trail runners — want clean energy, but they also care about what they consume and the impact it has on the planet.

From Beer to (energy) Bar

Each MALTITUDE bar gives a second life to the Brewer's Spent Grains from craft beers brewed in Valais, Switzerland.

This reduces waste, closes local loops, and creates real impact—without compromising taste or nutrition. And no worries, there is absolutely 0% alcohol in the product.

The story of matlitude

MALTITUDE is more than just an energy bar—it’s a symbol of performance, purpose, and circularity.

​Born in the heart of the Swiss Alps, MALTITUDE was created for those who climb higher — physically and metaphorically. We saw a clear need: mountain lovers — hikers, skiers, trail runners — want clean energy, but they also care about what they consume and the impact it has on the planet. 
​So we took one of the most underused byproducts in the food industry — brewer’s spent grain (BSG) — and turned it into something powerful.
​Naturally rich in fibre and protein, BSG is a treasure in disguise. At ProSeed, our mission is to build a resilient food system by giving new life to overlooked ingredients. That’s what MALTITUDE represents.
​The name is a mashup of “malt” (our hero ingredient) and “altitude” (our spirit of elevation).
​On the packaging, a climber ascends a golden hill made of BSG to reach the ProSeed flag planted at the top.
​This visual reflects two things:
  1. Determination – the journey to push limits and rise higher.
  2. Vision – ProSeed pioneering a new path for circular nutrition.
​And on top of it — it tastes good!
